How to Measure Pickups
Standard Pole Pickups
- Zero the meter away from magnets.
- Place probe flat on pole tip, centered.
- Record peak Gauss + polarity.
Gold Foil / Charlie Christian / Blade
- Measure directly under each string.
- Hold probe 2–4 mm above the bar.
- Use string-height reading for real-world values.
